PIES BY POST FAQ

Everything you need to know before your pies arrive! From ordering and delivery to storage and reheating, our FAQs cover the most common questions we receive about getting Lochinver Larder pies by post.

Ordering and Payment

What’s the minimum order?

We have a minimum of 12 pies per order — any mix of flavours you fancy. You can order more than that, and delivery to a single address stays the same price.

Can I change my order or delivery address after I’ve placed it?

If you need to make a change, email us at hello@lochinverlarder.com as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to help, but changes become tricky close to dispatch. Once your pies are on their way, we can’t update your address or delivery instructions.

Do you offer wholesale or trade orders?

Not at the moment, but it’s something we’re exploring for the future.

DELIVERY & SHIPPING

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across mainland Scotland, England, and Wales. We also post to the Isle of Lewis/Harris, Isle of Wight, and Isle of Man — these destinations have a small extra charge, which you can select at checkout.

When will my pies arrive?

You’ll choose your dispatch date when placing your order — this is the day your pies leave our Larder. Parcelforce aims to deliver within 48 hours, so if your dispatch date is a Wednesday, your pies should arrive Thursday or Friday.

How do I track my order?

On the day your pies are dispatched, we’ll send you an email with your tracking number and a link to follow your parcel. (Be sure to check your junk folder just in case!)

What happens if I’m not home when my pies are delivered?

We send all orders with “no signature required – leave in a safe place” instructions. If you have a preferred location on your property, let us know when ordering and we’ll pass it on to the courier. Please note: drivers can’t guarantee exact placement, and they aren’t able to call ahead.

Storage and Reheating

Do the pies arrive fresh or frozen?

All our pies are sent out fresh in a Woolcool insulated box with ice packs to keep them cool during delivery.

Can I freeze the pies?

Yes — pies can go straight into the freezer when they arrive.

How long will the pies keep?

Once delivered, pies will keep for up to 4 days in the fridge or up to 3 months in the freezer.

How do I reheat the pies?

We include reheating instructions in every box. You can also view them online here — https://www.lochinverlarder.com/heatinginstructions

Can I reheat from frozen?

We recommend fully defrosting your pies in the fridge before reheating.

Ingredients & Dietary Info

Do you offer gluten-free or dairy-free pies?

Not at this time. To ensure safety, gluten- or dairy-free production would require a completely separate area and equipment for every stage — from pastry-making to baking. We don’t currently have the space to do that properly, but it’s something we hope to offer in future.

Need help?

My pies haven’t arrived — what should I do?

We’re here to help. Give us a call on 01571 844 356 or email hello@lochinverlarder.com and we’ll sort things out as quickly as we can.
