Wowsers......probably the best pie I’ve ever had.... My partner and I visited for lunch on our north coast 500 trip. We tried the venison and cranberry pie and pork and chorizo. The pastry was amazing and the choice of pies and fillings makes it difficult to choose! We also had a take away rhubarb and strawberry sweet pie. A week later I’m still thinking about it! Highly recommended a visit!

Held in Lochinver’s picturesque Culag Park on the second Friday in August, the Assynt Highland Games is a captivating celebration of local culture and tradition and provides a unique insight into the vibrant heritage of Sutherland.
Set against the backdrop of rugged Suilven, Canisp and Quinag, the games showcase a plethora of traditional activities and sporting competitions, including track and field, piping, fly-casting and highland dancing.
Witness the spectacle of the Chieftain of the Games being brought ashore on a barge accompanied by an official piper, being presented with a ceremonial shepherd’s crook (or cromag), then led by a pipe band from Culag Pier onto the games field.
Take a break from feats of strength and skill to browse the stalls in the Craft & Produce tent which is filled with local crafts, delicious delicacies, and fine whiskies.
Now that's a great day out!

As a Pie Club member, you have a voice and opportunity to help shape what we do.
Our members are placed on a special list. And with your permission, we will be reaching out to you with offers and promotions alongside questions and ideas to share with you.
We will have your contact details on file, but will see if you are responding to offers, or giving voice to the questions or surveys we may intermittently send to you. If we see you are not active within the first six months of Pie Club Membership, we shall reserve the right to terminate your membership after 6 months.
We hope to build a voice and friendship amongst our Pie Club Members - for all those people stir-crazy about our Lochinver Pies and Lochinver itself.
GDPR
Privacy is important in this digital age.
So as Pie Club Members you receive a personal QR Scan code after sign-up which gives you individual access to Discounts and Offers. This is a long alpha-numeric code which does not identify you easily, although our systems do understand when you use the code.
We also have your email address and contact you with the Club Newsletter or surveys, irregularly, as we appreciate you are busy like everyone else.
We ask you to reach out to us if you want more or less involvement, and at any stage you can 'Opt-Out' of your Pie Club Membership, by following our GDPR explanations described here.

Your Pie Club Membership starts on the date you requested by email to become a Pie Club member and automatically lapses after 6 months.
You will be invited to renew the free membership just before the 6 month deadline.
This helps us ascertain you are indeed a keen and active Pie Club member, and ensures your GDPR privacy is maintained, by automatically removing you from the Pie Club Membership List at a regular interval if you choose not to use your member benefits.

With Coronavirus, we have all had to make changes to our way of life. And this continues in the environs of Lochinver Larder and our riverside garden.
With alcohol and spirits available from The Pie Shack outside, we each have a responsibility to keep social distancing for the safety benefit of other customers and staff members, so we ask you to keep safe and vigilant for the benefit of our whole community.
We reserve the right to stop your Pie Club Membership as well as access to Lochinver Larder if yourself or one of your guests or friends contravenes the safety notices we have placed onsite and online in respect to Covid 19 and health safety measures. We hope you understand this.
